Job Duties
An electrician should be able to:
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
- Cut, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
- Pull wires through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and fuse enclosures.
- Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment.
- Join, and connect wires to form circuits.
- Test motors and circuits to ensure integrity and safety.

Electronics - NQA Level Level 4
The course is designed to use and maintain tools and instruments, carry out basic electrical circuit analysis, demonstrate and apply knowledge of high frequency circuits, carry out soldering and de-soldering tasks, analyse AC and DC electrical circuits, demonstrate and apply knowledge of combinational digital electronics circuits, analyse analogue electronic circuits, install and repair electronics systems, produce printed circuit boards (PCBs), apply and demonstrate knowledge of communication systems and power electronics, inspect, test, maintain, and upgrade electronics systems, manage electronics projects, develop workplace standards, conduct training for personnel skills development, manage conflicts within the workplace, establish a business as part of entrepreneurship operations, as well as implement, control and monitor business operations. NQF Levels: This qualification leads to the National Vocational Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 4) (Electronics)

This qualification is designed to be accessible and flexible. The entry requirement for this qualification is grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Job Duties
Using a mix of science and maths, along with engineering techniques, to design, produce, install and maintain telecommunications systems. They also design and managing equipment used to control and monitor processes, systems and machinery in many different areas, writing specifications and drawing up theoretical designs to create user-friendly interfaces, planning projects and preparing and managing budgets, writing technical reports and keeping up to date with developments in technology and regulations, evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

Clothing Production - NQA Level 1-4
This training program is intended to provide skills and knowledge in Clothing Production, which fosters the development of both manual and intellectual skills. The approach to the subject as advocated in the training program is trainee centered. It tries to involve trainees in planning and designing their practical work. This approach encourages the acquisition of technical skills and knowledge, leading to knowledge based society, which is the goal of the Namibian vision 2030. This qualification recognizes people who have the competencies required for performing clothing production tasks in a clothing production environment. It is awarded to people who have demonstrated the skills and knowledge required to produce fashion illustrations, follow workplace safety procedures in a clothing production environment; communicate with colleagues and clients; lay and mark fabrics and garment pieces; construct and manipulate blocks; perform cutting, sewing and pressing operations; apply finishing procedures; apply quality standards in a clothing production environment. They are able to demonstrate basic knowledge of workplace health and safety, and apply fundamental communication and numeracy competencies in the workplace.
